I’ve played alot of poolplayers,am. and pro. If you shoot a fairly hard stroke once in a while,its no different than breaking. The wear on your tip is hte only setback from breaking with your cue. most people have a break cue just to have one.

Custom is the way to go, no doubt about that. You can even get custom cues for a cheap price to start with if you’re not experienced. Just cut down on the design details and focus on playing quality.

Glad you liked my cue. Please note that Frank did NOT do the inlay work. It was done by a gentleman who used to work for Martin Guitar doing inlay work on fret boards. This cue plays like a tank. I prefer to uae the shaft with the ivory ferrule. It’s a 9-ball runnin’ machine in my hands…

Indeed it’s very important for a player to have a custom cue stick to bring out the best in every play. I also played billiards but I’m not a pro but I can notice that there are something different with some public cue sticks that you are not comfortable in using them. The best solution for this is to have a custom cue stick that suitable for your liking to make it comfortable in playing the game.

I shoot with a jacoby and i love it i shot with other cues but its all on your style of play
